Chase the Ace jackpot at $2.2m in Sydney Saturday

It's an unprecedented jackpot for the popular Chase the Ace game $2.2 millionand Sydney is bracing for thousands of visitors hoping for a chance to win it.

After a week's hiatus to make room for East Coast Music Week events, the charity fundraiser is back on Saturday.

There are six cards remaining in the deck.

Nine venues will be selling tickets:

• The Ashby Legion, State Street.
• The Cedar Club, MacKenzie Street.
• Centre 200, George Street.
• The Horizon Achievement Centre, Upper Prince Street.
• The Joan Harris Cruise Pavilion, Esplanade.
• The Mayflower Mall, Grand Lake Road.
• The New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation, Nepean Street.
• St. Theresa's Parish Centre, St. Peter's Road.
• The Sydney Academy cafeteria, Terrace Street.

Cape Breton Regional Police are also mindful of increased traffic on many of Sydney's main streets.

Police have released a statement outliningplans for security at the venues and for traffic control.

They say there will be "a number of additional police officers located at each of the ninedesignatedChase the Acevenues, to help ensure the safety of both the public and the organizers of the event."

Officers will also implement temporary measures to control traffic around ticket venues.

Parking will bereduced to one side of the road on Terrace Street nearSydney Academy, on St. Peter's Road nearSt. Theresa's Parish Centre,on Birchhill Drive near theHorizon Achievement Centre, andon Nepean Street nearthe New Dawn Center for Social Innovation.

Signs will be posted in those locations advisingof theparking restrictions.

Anyone violating the temporary banwill be fined $61.60 under the Motor Vehicle Act and issubject to being towed.
