How long is too long when it comes to leaving up Christmas lights?

This week you may have noticed a lot of Christmas trees at the curb, heralding the end of the holiday season. But when should those outside Christmas decorations come down?

The lingering lights and wreaths are an eyesore to some, but for others, the lights brighten the drab winter landscape this time of year.

It turns out, people in Halifax are divided. Here are a few of theresponses CBC received when we asked:

Some feltthe time for holiday decorations is done.

Another person gave those with decorations still up props for being ahead of the game.

Stillothers felt the decor brightens an otherwise dull winter.
