Copper worth $15K stolen near Halifax airport

Thieves have taken $15,000 worth of copper wire from street-light poles near Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

RCMP say the copper is missing from light standards in Goffs, near Exit 5A on Highway 102. The theft was reported on Tuesday.

This is the latest in a series of copper wire thefts near the airport over the past couple of years. RCMP say these cases may be connected.

There was also asimilar theft in Dartmouth Crossing last Thursday.
