Halifax police issued tickets to 10people attending a house party early Saturday.

Police responded to a report of a loud party at a house on Parker Street at 12:30 a.m.

They found a gathering that exceeded the current provincial limit of five people.

All those at the gathering were issued tickets for failing to comply with the Health Protection Act.

The fine for exceeding the gathering limit was doubled to $2,000 last week. That followed a party in Halifax that saw 22 tickets issued.
