A New Minas paramedic and firefighter will sing at the funeral of RCMP Cst. David Wynn.

Kevin Davison wrote a song about first responders dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.

"I've been through it,"he said. "I've been to some very serious instances where I had to just go home and debriefmyself, talk to my colleagues. So this song.. it's really hitting people because of the experiences that people have."

The song has garnered him a lot of fans, including Wynns wife, who asked Davison to travel to Edmonton for the funeral.

Wynn died this week after being shot in the head.

Before joining the RCMP, he was a paramedic in Bridgewater.

Davison says being asked to sing at his funeral is the "biggest honour."
