LGBT seniors face challenges in long-term care facilities

The Cape Breton Island Pride festival kicked off on Friday and it's a great time to think of those who have fought for the rights of the LGBTcommunity.

As some of these activists enter in to their golden years,one might wonder how those freedoms are protected in long-term care facilities.

Mainstreet Cape Bretonspoke with the education coordinator of the Ally Centre of Cape Breton, Madonna Doucette, about the issues and concerns many elders face when entering in to long-term care.
