Search suspended for missing Kings County woman

After more than 40 hours of searching, Kings County, N.S., police suspended their search for Gladys Ester Jodrey, an 80-year-old woman who hasn't been seen since Tuesday morning. She was last seen that morning at her home on Peck Meadow Road in Greenfield.

After more than 40 hours of searching, RCMP in Kings County, N.S., have suspended their search for a missing 80-year-old woman.

Gladys Ester Jodrey was seen at her home on Peck Meadow Roadin Greenfield Road on Tuesday at 7a.m.

Police believe she left her home on foot and then walked north on Greenfield Road to Davison Street and then continued to walk west to the intersection of Jehill DavisonRoad and Davison Street. She was last spotted in the area of that location around 10 a.m.

ARCMP news release describes Jodreyasfive feet six inches, 110 pounds with white hair andglasses. One of her legs is alsovisibly swollen.

Jodrey was last seen wearing a red top with a black cardigan, blue pants and sneakers.

Local volunteers and a search dog helpedpolice in trying to locate Jodrey.

Anyone who may have seen Jodrey is asked to contact Kings District RCMP.
