Sheet Harbour collision kills 17-year-old boy

A 17-year-old boy from Moser River, N.S.was killed in a fatal collision on highway 7 in Sheet Harbour, N.S. Saturday night.

Police were called to the scene at9:45p.m.

RCMP Const.John Wavrychuksays the teen was the only person in the car at the time.

The teen's vehicle was heading east on Highway 7 when he pulled out to pass, but there was oncoming traffic so he swerved back into his own lane.He over-corrected, went off the road, and was ejected from the vehicle.

No one else was injured.

An RCMP reconstructionist attended the scene.
