RCAF investigating helicopter crash

The Canadian military says itsSea King helicopters can resume flying after one of the aging choppers was involved in an accident earlier this week.

The fleetwas grounded on Tuesday after a Sea King tipped forwardand smashed its five rotor blades on the tarmac at Canadian Forces Base Shearwater in Dartmouth.

There were no injuries.

The Royal Canadian Air Force said it's continuing its investigation to determine what caused the incident, but it says it hasn't found any airworthiness issues affecting its other Sea Kings.

Canada's Sea King fleet is marking 50 years of service this year, but it could take another two years for Sikorsky Aircraft to deliver CH-148 Cyclones that have been ordered to replace them.
