Upper Sackville robbery leads to two arrests

Three people were tied up during an armed home invasion in Upper Sackville, N.S., early Monday, police say.

Three people were tied up during an armed home invasion in Upper Sackville, N.S., early Monday, police say.

The victims were a man, 48, woman, 44, and a 13-year-old. Two people face charges.

Halifax RCMP say around 5:15 a.m. they were called out to a home on Colgrove Avenue after a reported robbery. Investigators say two armed men confronted the residents and tied them up.

The robbers stole items from the home and left in a waiting vehicle.

The people in the home were not injured and were able to get free to call for help.

RCMP later founda vehicle with two people inside in Lower Sackville that officers linked to the crime.

Officers arrested a 34-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman and say they will face several charges. The suspects arein custody.

Police say it wasnot a random robbery and are looking for anyone with information to come forward.
