7 people injured after cars collide in rural west Ottawa

Seven people have been taken to hospital including four children after a serious two-vehicle collision near Pakenham, Ont., on Tuesday.

Seven people have been taken to hospital including fourchildren after a serious two-vehicle collision in Ottawa'srural west end on Tuesday.

A minivan and a carcollidedaround 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Upper Dwyer Hill Road and Panmure Road, east of Pakenham, Ont., according to Ottawa paramedics.

Six people were in the minivan, and one was in the car.

An adult and one of the children were taken to hospital in serious but stablecondition. The child was flown by Ornge air ambulance.

The remaining five people also taken to hospital. Paramedics didn't specify their condition.

The cause of the collision is so farunknown.
