Airplane trolley rolls into aisle during landing, hits 5 passengers

An airplane trolley somehow got loose, rolled down the aisle and struck five passengers during landing at the Ottawa airport, according to Air Canada.

An airplane trolley somehow got loose, rolled down the aisle and struck five passengers during landing at the Ottawa airport, according to Air Canada.

The incident at about 1:30 a.m. ET Thursday involvedFlight AC124, which was arriving in Ottawa from Calgary, saidPeter Fitzpatrick, an Air Canada spokesman.

A 48-year-old woman one of the five peoplehit by the trolleywas treated by paramedics for a foot injury, Ottawa paramedics said.

The aircraft was an EmbraerE190and 93 passengers were on board.

An investigation is ongoing, Fitzpatrick said.
