2nd woman dies after 2-vehicle crash in western Quebec

The second driver in a fatal 2-vehicle crash in west Quebec Saturday morning has died of her injuries.

Two women who were driving separatevehicles ina fatal collision in western Quebec Saturdaymorning have died.

According to the Sret du Qubec, awoman was traveling westbound on Highway 50 near Grenville, Que., when at around 7a.m.she veered into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound vehicle.

The woman was taken to hospitaland died of her injuries, policesaid.

The occupants of the other vehicle, a man and a woman, were seriously injured and were fighting for their lives.

Police now say the second woman, who had been driving the other vehicle, has since died of her injuries.

Highway 50 was closed in both directions betweenScotch and Kilmar Roads Saturday morning while police investigate the crash.

Grenville, Que., is approximately 110 kilometres east of Ottawa.
