Man charged with sexual assaults on OC Transpo buses

Ottawa police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a series of sexual assaults on OC Transpo buses, 10 months after he faced similar charges.

Racil Hilan, 34, was arrested on Feb. 27 and charged with five counts of sexual assault and 10 counts of failing to comply with the conditions of judicial release.

The sexual assault charges are in relation to incidents reported on OC Transpo buses between Nov. 22, 2012 and Jan.15, 2013.

Police said the same man was charged last year with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of mischief related to incidents on OC Transpo buses in December 2011 and February 2012.

Those charges are still before the courts.

Hilanis expected to appear in court again on Wednesday.
