Woman rescued after falling 12 metres into Orlans ravine

A woman suffered undisclosed injuries Saturday after she fell approximately 12 metres into an Orlans ravine.

She had to be pulled out with ropes and a basket, fire department said

A woman suffered undisclosed injuries Saturday after she fell approximately 12 metres into an Orlansravine.

First responders had to use ropes and a Stokes basket a portablebasket commonly used in search-and-rescue operations to savethe woman, after she slipped near Princess Louise Falls.

The woman was taken into the care of paramedics after the rescue, Ottawa Fire Services said in a release.

Her current condition is not known.
