Shooting on Old St. Patrick sends man to hospital with serious injuries

A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition after a shooting in Ottawa's Lowertown neighbourhood on Sunday night.

Ottawa police cordoned off a section of Old St. Patrick Street in Lowertown after a shooting Sunday night.

A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition after a shooting in Ottawa's Lowertown neighbourhood on Sunday night.

It happened on Old St. Patrick Street at about 7:45 p.m. near coleSecondaire Publique de la Salle.

The man had been shot multiple times, police said, adding that he is known to police.

He was taken to The Ottawa Hospital's Civic campus trauma centrewhere his condition has since stabilized, police said on Monday morning.

No arrests have been made.
