Newspaper columnist Barb McKenna charged with criminal harassment

Barb McKenna, a columnist for a P.E.I. newspaper, has been charged with criminal harassment.

Next court date is Aug. 29

Barb McKenna, a columnist for a P.E.I. newspaper, has been charged with criminal harassment.

McKenna is a regular columnist for the Guardian newspaper. She is also editor of The Advance in Liverpool, N.S.

She is also a former employee with CBC P.E.I. from 1998 to 2008.

McKenna ischargedwith repeatedly communicating with a person between Jan. 1, 2015 and June 27, 2016.

She's next scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.
