Candidates for P.E.I. municipal elections announced

The list of candidates for the November municipal elections in Prince Edward Island's four largest communities is now final and has been released.

Nominations closed at 2:00 p.m. Friday.

In Charlottetown, the mayors race is between Philip Brown, Keith Kennedy and incumbent Clifford Lee.

Summerside has a two-way race between Bill Martinand incumbent Basil Stewart.

InStratford, current mayorDavid Dunphywins by acclamation.

The community of Cornwall will see a race between Corey Frizzell, Marlene Hunt and Minerva McCourt. The current mayor, Barney Fullerton, is not reoffering.
