Confederation Bridge lifts traffic restrictions

The Confederation Bridge is open to all traffic.

The traffic restriction for some vehicles was lifted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday after being in place for eight hours.

Some traffic hadbeen restricted from crossing the Confederation Bridge this morning due to high winds.

The restriction went into place shortly before 7 a.m.

Restricted vehicles included automobiles towing trailers, motorcycles, high-sided vehicles including trucks, tractor trailers, recreational vehicles, and buses.

Winds were projected in the 65 to75 km/h range with guststo 95km/h.
