The Gully Bridge in Miminegash, P.E.I., will be replaced by a larger bridge during the government's upcoming construction season.

Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy Minister Paul Biggar said the bridge, located on Route 14, will cost $350,000 to replace.

In a release, Biggar said the approach roads to the bridge have been affected by erosion.

"In the last week, staff of my department visited the bridge to carry out inspections. Following their analysis our government has decided to begin work on designing and building a new bridge at this location."
