From a laptop in an airport or under a blanket at home Islanders are sharing how they're taking part in the plebiscite on electoral reform on P.E.I.

Islanders are being asked to rank five electoral systems in order of preference.Registered voters have until Nov. 7 to vote.

Voting is now open online or by telephone. In-person paper ballot voting takes place Nov. 4 and Nov. 5.

In case you're wondering Elections PEI said the confirmation code only says someone voted.Itdoesn't link to how someone votedand there is no harm in showing it.

The confirmation numbers are a confirmation code for the voter confirming their vote was counted. But you shouldn't share your birth date or PIN.

The Elections P.E.I. Helpline is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. everyday at 1-888-234-VOTE to assist Islanders in the process.

The results of the plebiscite are not binding, but the province can use them when deciding whether to change the current electoral system.
