A young filmmaker from P.E.I. is heading to a showcase sponsored by one of the world's most prestigious film festivals this weekend.

Twelve-year-old Zaneta Ambassa will showcase her film Muted at the Toronto International Film Festival's Kids Jump Cuts Young Filmmakers Showcase.

"It's nervewracking, but it's also really good to get my name out there," said Ambassa.

"I was speaking with my mom and it's really good to meet some more people, get some more perspective and even get better."

Ambassa only started making movies this year. Her film is one of eight that will be showcased.

She plans to continue making movies, and perhaps someday pursue a future career in film.
