P.E.I.'s Cloggeroo music festival kicks off Friday

Danielle Rochen had an eye on the weather and the potential for rain on Friday, but is otherwise looking forward to this year's Cloggeroo music festival.

"Now, in our third year, we've kind of got some of the hiccups out of the way. The first couple of years it was not really knowing how things would go," said Rochen, one of the festival's organizers.

The festival in Georgetown, P.E.I., beganlate Friday afternoon and ends on Sunday. Gates were scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with the P.E.I. band Al Tuck and No Action expected to hit the stage at 5 p.m.

Other scheduled acts include the Barrowdowns, John Campbelljohn and Ten Strings and a Goat Skin.

Rain plan

Rochen said she is looking forward to seeing the Fortunate Ones and P.E.I.'s Catherine MacLellan.

If it does rain, Rochen said there is a plan to move the festival indoors at local venues.
