P.E.I. National Park closing road for work next week

A large section of the Gulf Shore Parkway and the adjacent trail in P.E.I. National Park will be shut down starting next Wednesday for construction work.

The road will be closed between Shaw's Beach and Covehead Harbour for about three weeks.

The work will include waterproofing and paving of the driving lanes on Covehead Bridge as well as roadwork and trail construction.

While the work is underway there will be a posted detour in place.
