Sign of spring #4: Highway weight restrictions lifted

Temporary spring weight restrictions have been lifted from all Prince Edward Island roads.

• Sign of spring: Outdoor rinks in Charlottetown closed for the season

• Sign of spring #2: Weight restrictions on the highway

• Sign of spring #3: Victoria Park bike lane to reopen

Restrictions are put in place to protect roads from heavy traffic when the ground underneath them is unstable during the spring thaw. Limiting truck weights reduces damage to highways.

Restrictions may still be posted on some local sections as required.
