Highway accident kills woman on Route 25

A woman was killed on Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Route 25 (the York Road) in York.

Queens District RCMP say the 66-year-old driver of one of the vehiclesdied of her injuries at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The two occupants of the secondvehicleweretakento the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

The RCMPcollision analyst, provincial Coroner, IEMS,North Shore fire department and the Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.

The investigationis ongoing.
