Maritime Electric is still working to restore power to 2,400 customers as of Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., mostly in eastern P.E.I.and many of whom have not had power since a storm on Sunday.

Maritime Electric says it has 50 crews out to make repairs, with 46 of those crews focusing on Kings County.

"I was down east most of the day today, and just the sheer magnitude of the devastation you can see it when you drive down the roads," said utility spokesperson Kim Griffin.

Griffin said there could be some smaller, individual outages into Friday.

The majority of customer outages are in Dingwells Mills, Dover, Victoria Cross and Georgetown. A full list of affected communities is on Maritime Electric's website.
