Renovations start at Prince County Hospital ER

Patients heading for the emergency at the Prince County Hospital in P.E.I. will find the admitting and waiting area has moved, as renovations have begun on the emergency department.

The triage area for the Summerside hospital is also being renovated. Signs have been posted to direct people to the temporary accommodations.

The hospital is making the changes to upgrade security and help with infection control.

The renovations will cost about $500,000.
