Although Progressive Conservative Leader Rob Lantz doesn't have a seat in the P.E.I. Legislative Assembly as it kicks off a new session Wednesday, he says he will be very involved.

He says he will continue to be the spokesperson for the party.

"I will have a big role to play helping prepare the caucus for our session of the legislature here coming up this week and I have been working very closely with caucus and staff to do just that," said Lantz.

"I expect to be closely involved with fundraising efforts to put the party back in a good financial position after this election."

Lantz says he will be compensated by the PC Party directly. No taxpayer money will be used to pay his salary.

He says his party will focus on accountability and public finance in this session of the legislature.
