Invictus Games helps makes me stronger, wounded soldier from Sask. says

Among the competitors at the Invictus Games this month is Adam Cyr, who's originally from Whitewood, Sask., and is now located in Brandon, Man.

The former master corporal served two terms in Afghanistan where he lost his right leg in an ambush.

He started a support group for fellow soldiers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

In recent days, he's been in Orlando, Fla., where he has competed in archery and rowing at the Invictus Games for wounded soldiers.

He says the competition is helping him to heal.

"It's been absolutely beneficial to everybody I've talked to," he said. "It kind of puts you at ease to know you're not alone. It only makes you stronger, moving ahead."
