Regina's Buskwakker draws in mead loyalists for annual holiday drink

People are putting on their mittens and pulling out their tents to line up for a traditional fermented drink. Bushwakker Brewpub's holiday mead is going on sale.

Holiday drink a long-standing tradition in Regina

The special holiday drink draws in customers from Western Canada (CBC)

The annual release of Bushwakker Brewpub'sholiday mead is happeningtomorrow morning.

The popular seasonal blackberry brew is released every year on the first Saturday of December, and isa longstanding tradition in Regina.

Head brewerMitch Dalrymple said he's expecting peopletocampout over night outside the pubin anticipation of the beverage's release.

My favourite parts are the people. I can't believe that they line up in some really inclement weather.-Mitch Dalrymple, head brewer.

The weather is expected to be nicefor the fermented drink'sfans.But Dalrymple saidit's never a factor for loyal customers who line up down the street every year.

It's the drink's tradition which has kept the crowds coming.The brew hasn'tchanged from the original recipeand there are no plans of adjusting it anytime soon.
