Drinking and driving suspected in fatal crash on rural road near Regina

RCMP say a man died in a collision between two pickup trucks Sunday on a grid road north of Regina, noting that alcohol appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash.

RCMP say a man died in a collision between two pickup trucks Sunday on a grid road north of Regina, noting that alcohol appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash.

According to RCMP, the crash happened on a stretch of road known as the Pasqua Street extension grid road, south of Zehner Road.

They said the identity of the man who died was not yet known. There was no immediate word on whether anyone else was hurt in the crash.

The road reopened early Monday morning.

An RCMP crash expert is investigating the incident with officers from the White Butte detachment.
