The latest on the flood situation in Saskatchewan

Weather and emergency situations around Saskatchewan have been changing rapidly in recent days amid heavy rainfall and flash floods.

• 'People just do': Sask. small towns step up to help flood evacuees

Here's the current state of affairs as of 7:30 a.m. CST:

• Local states of emergency have been declared inCarrot River, Estevan, the townof Arborfield and the rural municipality of Arborfield.
• Among the worst-hit areas is the town ofArborfield, which has been inundated by heavy rain the last few days.
• About 400 people have been evacuated from the town.
• They've been sent to Zenon Park, Melfort, and Carrot River.
• A road holding back water was breached on Tuesday, sending water toward Arborfield.
• Pumps have been running non-stop in Carrot River. Some basements there flooded.
• Water has receded in thestreets in that have declared states of emergency. Cleanups are underway.
• Dozens of Saskatchewan communities have received more than 50 millimetres of rain the past three days.
• Nipawin was amongthe rainiest spots in the province yesterday, receiving about 40 mm.
• Environment Canada says the worst of the storms appears to be over. Rain in the northeast is still possible today and Thursday, but sunnier weather is expected in most areas.
