Regina firefighters snuff rail car fire by Evraz Steel Mill

The Regina Fire Department responded to a flaming rail car by the Evraz Steel Mill on Wednesday morning.

Cause of fire, company responsible for rail car unknown

The Regina Fire Department responded to a flaming rail car atthe Evraz Steel Mill on Wednesday morning.

Crews were dispatched just after 10 a.m. CST and the fire was out an hour later.

The rail car was filled with railroad ties.

The fire department did not know the cause nor the company responsible for the rail car.

TheEvrazSteel Mill is located near the northern edge ofRegina on Armour Road. The firehappenedin the R.M. of Sherwood, so any further investigationwould be conducted by the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
