Regina Pats win, keeping WHL playoff run alive

The Regina Pats have mounted an impressive winning drive notching another victory in their WHL playoff series against Red Deer to force a Game 7 decider Tuesday in Alberta.

The Regina Pats have mounted an impressive winning drive notching another victory in their WHL playoff series against Red Deer to force a Game 7 decider Tuesday in Alberta.

The latest win, Sunday at home in the Brandt Centre, was a crowd-pleasing 5 - 1 trouncing of the Red Deer Rebels.

Connor Hobbs had a goal and an assist and Tyler Brown made 20 saves as the Pats forced a Game 7 in the Western Hockey League's second-round playoff series.

Lane Zablocki, Cole Sanford, Jared McAmmond and Colby Williams supplied the rest of the offence for Regina.

Jake DeBrusk scored in the first period for the Rebels to tie the game at 1 - 1.

Rylan Toth kicked out 35 of 40 shots for Red Deer, which hosts Game 7 on Tuesday.

The Pats were scoreless on two power plays while the Rebels were 0 for 1.
