The Canadian Cowboys Association (CCA) has ended its partnership with the Canadian Western Agribition. It says the rodeo is still a go for November 2015.

The decision leaves a number of questions about whether next year's Agribition will have rodeo events.Agribition is held annually in Regina.

The CCA has announced it will be moving to Swift Current, Sask. at its annual general meeting held this month.

Shylo Claypool, president of the CCA, said it was a better business decision for them.

"We made a decision on going to Swift Current just because it gave us more opportunity for growth," Claypool said. "We really felt we can be a stand-alone. Swift Current gave us an opportunity, which in turn will help us grow our association."

Marty Seymour, CEO of Agribition, said it is still planning to produce rodeo events in 2016 and beyond.

"The initial reaction when somebody says they'd like to relocate, I think I was probably more surprised than disappointed," Seymour said. "But quickly [I] saw an opportunity in this to build on the success we've had."

Seymour said Agribition has produced rodeo events for more than 40 years.

Agribition and the CCA have had a partnership for the past decade.
