2 men facing charges in suspected fentanyl trafficking

Officers arrested a 26-year-old man in the 3500 block of John A. MacDonald Road and an 18-year-old man at a traffic stop at Lorne Avenue and Circle Drive.

Two men are facing charges after a Saskatoon police investigation into fentanyl trafficking.

Members of the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST) made up of members of the Saskatoon Police Service andRCMPFDivisionwere conducting aninvestigation when they witnessed what appeared to be activity consistent with drug trafficking.

Officers arrested a26-year-old man in the 3500 block of John A.MacDonaldRoad and an 18-year-old man at a traffic stop atLorneAvenue and Circle Drive.

Policeseized sixfentanylpills, more than $500 in cash, cell phones, and a BMW X3.

Both men are expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Thursday.
