A taste of home for elders displaced by Saskatchewan forest fires

A traditional dinner is being served to elders displaced by Saskatchewan forest fires in an effort to make them feel more at home.

A traditional dinner is being served to elders displaced by Saskatchewan forest firesin an effort to make them feel more at home.

The luncheons aretaking place today and tomorrow at 2 p.m. CST at Station 20 West in Saskatoon.

Organizers are putting the event on to honour elders displaced by wildfires and help them feel more comfortable being so far away from home.

Crisis counselorswill be on hand if elders would like to speak with someone about their situation.
