Electric car fill up station opens in Saskatoon

Asilver 2012 Tesla electric roadsterraced into Saskatoon today.

At the wheel wasSun Country Highway founder Kent Rathwell. The Saskatchewan-basedcompany sells electric car chargers and is also working to build what it calls "the world's longest green highway."

The idea is to establish a network of charging stations across Canada. Most are located at hotels andauto repair shops.

In Saskatoon, the Sun Country Highway charging station is at the Bessborough Hoteland today, it had its official unveiling.

Regina has had a charging station for some time. It is located right on the Trans Canada Highway.
