Judge rules biker guilty of threatening to kill mining company owner

A Saskatoon judge has found a former member of the Hells Angels guilty of threatening to kill the owner of a local mining company.

The biker, Jesse Bitz, was also found guilty of threatening to cause bodily harm to Leonard Banga.

Banga owns Xtreme Mining and Demolition, a company where Bitz worked when he was member of theHells Angel.

According to the prosecutor,Bitz threatened to kill Banga after the pair had a falling out. Banga said that he fired the biker after getting a report that he'd been caught sleeping on the job at a mine.

But Bitz maintained that Banga fabricated the claim because he was angry that he'd sought a higher-paying job elsewhere.

Bitz's trial took place in front of Justice Neil Gabrielson at Court of Queen's Bench earlier this month.
