The family of Saskatoon 22-year-old Mackenzie Lee Trottier, missing since Dec. 21, 2020,is now offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to her return.

Trottier went missing after leaving her family's homeina ride-hailing vehicle four days before Christmas. She's not been seen or heard from since. Her father, Paul, said the family gotthe reward money through fundraising.

"So all of our friends and family jumped in and started fundraising for us. The arts community in Saskatoon has jumped in, numerous agencies across Canada have jumped in and fundraised for us," he said.

Paul Trottier is a local landscape artist who also runs an art supply store. He said that the artistic streak that runs through the family manifest itself in a template they created for social media.

"Recently we started the 'I am missing'campaign," he said.

"It's a social media-based platform where you can frame your profile photo with the 'I am missing'Canadian maple leaf with the puzzle piece missing. I am missing Christmas, I am missing Easter, Iam missing my daughter."

Trottier said the transition from winter to spring has amplified the length of time that his daughter has been gone.

"We've passed through Christmas, we've passed through Easter. Those were hard times for our family, those were times we spent together and, of course, we're short, we're missing," he said.

"So seasons change and we move into spring and we think about renewal of life. I think about the renewal of finding my daughter."

Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Mackenzie Trottier is asked to call police, RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
