Girl, 8, dies in Circle Drive rollover in Saskatoon

An eight-year-oldgirl has died after a single-vehicle rollover on Circle Drive in Saskatoon near Ruth St.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. CST Saturday. Police believe the vehicle was driving northbound when thedriver lost control, crossed the freeway's centre line and the vehicle flipped.

Police say the woman driving was ejected from the vehicle and taken to hospital with serious injuries. She is now in stable condition. The girl riding in the back seat died at the scene.

Saskatoon Police collision analysts are investigating the cause of the crash.

Circle Drive's northbound and southbound lanes were stillclosed between 8th Street and Ruth Street Saturday afternoon. Police wereasking drivers to avoid the area.
