Gold medallist to compete at Saskatoon Indoor Games

Some high-calibre athletes are coming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saskatoon's Knights of Columbus Indoor Games.

Brianne Theisen-Eaton will compete in high jump and hurdles

Some high-calibre athletes are coming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saskatoon's Knights of Columbus Indoor Games.

Gold Medallist Brieanne Theisen-Eaton and her husband, Ashton will both be competing this year.

Theisen-Eaton is originally from Humboldt. She won gold in the heptathlon at lastyear's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Her husband is an Olympic champion, and holds the world record in both the decathlon and heptathlon.

The couple will be participating in high jump and hurdles, and will help feature the province's current up-and-coming athletes.

Every year, athletes from around the world come to Saskatoon to compete in events like the pole vault, shot put and running events.

The games will be held January 29-31at the Saskatoon Field House.
