Kellie Johnson murder trial unexpectedly delayed

The trial of a Saskatoon mother, accused of killing her 5-year-old son in 2014, has been postponed until tomorrow.

Kellie Johnson is accused of first-degree murder in the death of her son, Jonathan Vetter.

Vetter was found with fatal injuries in a home on Avenue R on January 4th, 2014.

The five-year-old was pronounced dead on scene.

In court this morning, Justice Neil Gabrielson said there had been a motion to adjourn the trial until tomorrow, due to a sensitive matter that had come up.

Justice Gabrielson made the decision after ordering everyone out of the courtroom. He did not provide any further details.
