Pride flag flying high at Saskatoon city hall

A pride flag was raised at Saskatoon's city hall Mondayto kick off Pride Week.

Downtown city Coun. Charlie Clark said Civic Square is turning into a symbol of what Saskatoon is evolving into:a diverse and respectful city for everyone to enjoy.

"We're going to be raising the pride flag right next to our provincial flag, alongside the reconciliation flag, because this is the month of reconciliation and we have the Treaty 6 flag," Clark said.

"Our Civic Square is a representation of our community and what we want to become as a community."

Saskatoon Mayor DonAtchisonand NDP MLA David Forbes also attended, as well ascity councillorsPat Lorje, Mairin Loewen andAnn Iwanchuk.
