Police say they now believe 51-year-old Sheree Fertuck is dead after the Saskatchewan woman went missing in December.

Later this week, RCMP willstart checking specific locations in the provincefor her body. They won't say where, but added that the spotscame from the investigation.

Fertuck was last seen driving away from her family farm in a gravel truck near Kenaston, Sask. 80 kilometres south of Saskatoon, on Dec. 7, 2015. While the truck was found at a nearby gravel pit, Fertuck was nowhere to be found.

"There's been no banking activity, no use of her passport or cell phone and Sheree has not made any contact with her family during this time," said RCMP Staff SergeantMurray Chamberlin.

"At this point in time, we believe this is a homicide investigation."

RCMParen't ruling out anyone as a possible suspect in her disappearance. That includes everyone from people in Fertuck's immediate circle to a random, unknown person.

Police say there does not appear to be any obvious motive, and said there was no hint of criminal activity by or around Fertuck.

At the event, Fertuck's mother, Juliann Sorotski, spoke about the pain her family had been through.

"I'm overwhelmed by the support our family has, and is still, receiving. Thankyou, to everyone," she said.

In December, dozens of people searched more than 150 square kilometres around the site where the gravel truck was found.

Fertuck is five-foot-four and 250 pounds, with greying brown hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing grey sweat pants, a grey sweater and white running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
