RCMP continue to investigate murder-suicide in Tisdale, Sask. 1 year later

RCMP say they will not be releasing details of their investigation into a mass murder-suicide of a couple and three children in Tisdale, Sask. nearly one year ago.

Police say the investigation into the deaths is almost complete,but the public won't be learning more about what happened.

"Investigations such as this take an emotional toll and has a lasting impact on investigators," said Sgt. Murray Chamberlin,in a written release from RCMP.

"We recognize the public's desire to learn the details of a tragedy. In this instance it is information we cannot share," read the statement.

Mounties discovered the bodies of Latasha Gosling and three ofherchildren in their mobile home in Tisdale last April 22.

At the time, officers saidthat Gosling's boyfriend, Steve O'Shaughnessy, had fled the trailer with their six-month-old girl and driven to Prince Albert, where he killed himself at his mother's house.

The baby was found unharmed.

A family member later revealed thatO'Shaughnessyhadtakenphotos of the bodies and sent copiesto thecellphoneof Gosling'sestranged husband, the biological father of the three olderchildren.
