Riders fans revel in first win of the season

Thousands of relieved, delighted Riders fans streamed out of Mosaic Stadium on Sunday, after their team finally snapped a long losing streak.

Thousands of relieved anddelighted Riders fans streamed out of Mosaic Stadium on Sundayafter their teamfinally snapped a long losing streak.

The Riders beat the Bombers 37-19, after their worst start to a seasonsince since 1979. The string of nine-straight lossesresulted in the firing of head coach Corey Chamblin and general manager Brendan Taman last week.

Bob Dyceled the team for the first timeas interim coach. Quarterback Brett Smiththrew for 211 yards and rushed for 59 yards.

Paul McCallum kicked three field goals and the Saskatchewan Roughriders scored 29 unanswered points to snap their nine-game losing streak with a 37-19 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday.

Before the game began, Riders fans were sharing photos of the stadium-wide card displays spelling "Bring 'em out."

The cards were also used to create a giantCanadian flag imageduring the national anthem, captured here by Johany Jutras, a photographer on a cross-Canada tour to capture moments in the 2015 CFL season.

After the game, fans shared some of the excitement and relief in finally getting a win.

The Riders face the Bombers again next Saturday in Winnipeg for the Banjo Bowl.
