Saskatchewan Rush adopts Johner Boys song

When the Saskatchewan Rush makes their way into their brand new home arena tonight in Saskatoon, they'll be pumped up by a home-grown theme song.

The Johner Boys wrote, performed and recorded Get Ready For The Rush,and then pitched the hard charging rocker to the team.

The Rush have now enthusiastically accepted the Saskatoon band's song as their own, and will play it over the loudspeakers each time they enter the arena.

The National Lacrosse League team will also use the song in an opening video and in radio and television commercials.

The band will perform the song tonight at the Rush home opener at the SaskTel Centre, set to go for 7:30 p.m. CST.

The Rush takes on the Vancouver Stealth.
