The members of Rosie and the Riveters will be looking back much further than the last year as they ring in 2017.

A Very Vintage New Year's Eve welcomes people to party like it's 1949. Held at the Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon, the night also features Eliza Mary Doyle, Belle Plaine and Megan Nash.

"Rosie and the Riveters is all about women coming together and creating something beautiful. And we wanted to extend an invitation to these other fantastic female performers in Saskatchewan that perhaps our audiences hadn't heard of before," Farideh Olsen told CBC Radio's Saskatchewan Weekend.

People who come to the performance are encouraged to dress to the era. They can even take part in a vintage-inspired photo booth, complete with vintage props.

"This time period kind of has a lot of versatility for any kind of body shape," Olsen said of her love of clothing of the era.

The show begins at 8 p.m. CST with doors opening at 7 p.m.
